Stearn rain gear
While waiting, I realized that I left my camera in the apartment and Jess
realized that she left her phone (DC 4, Ash 0). Obviously, if I was going to the
effort of getting out of bed to go to Mt. Vernon, I needed to bring my camera.
So I limped very swiftly to the apartment, and on the way out, Shelby called me
saying to run because the buses were getting ready to leave. I should have
stayed in the apartment, but hindsight is 20/20. I somehow found a burst of
energy and sprinted back to the buses, forgetting momentarily that I have
asthma, a half-broken foot, and that the humidity is 95%. When I made it to the
lot, out of breath and dizzy, it was apparent that the entire fleet of five
buses had waited on me. Awkward. I also got stuck on the short bus, which only
had a/c vents located at the very front (DC 5, Ash 0). So as I'm trying to catch
my breath and cradle my foot, I also begin to die of heat exhaustion. Once we
got to Mt. Vernon, however, no one wanted to get off of the bus. The a/c vents
might have been small, but at least they were there. They forced us off the bus
and we realized what a mistake we had made
